Back in May, I went in for a biometric screening. That’s when they do some checks on some basic measures of health like your height, weight, BMI, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, fasting blood sugar, blood pressure, and waist circumference. In May, everything checked out great. I’d only been doing LCHF for a few months though… wonder what another 2 months did for my measurements?
- Total cholesterol: 126 (May: 143)
- LDL: 73 (May: 89)
- HDL: 38 (May: 35)
- Triglycerides: 73 (May: 90)
- Blood sugar (glucose): 73!! (May: 87)
- Blood pressure (yet again, too small of a cuff): 130/80 (May: 122/82)
- BMI: down 3.5 from May
All are improvements except blood pressure, which wasn’t measured correctly and is still within normal ranges. I didn’t even realize that fasting blood sugar could go that low! Pretty cool!
